Brass

Taps, fittings, bushings and turnings: brass follows the price of the copper it contains.

Brass buy-back in Tunisia

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, recognisable by its golden-yellow colour. Its value follows that of the copper it contains, generally between 60 and 70% of its mass. It comes mainly from taps and fittings, fasteners and decorative parts.

The forms we buy

  • Taps and fittings: valves, taps, plumbing connectors.
  • Bushings and machined parts, bars and profiles.
  • Turnings and swarf from bar turning, dry.
  • Locks, handles, hardware and decorative parts.
  • Water meters and pump bodies.

What makes the price vary

Clean brass, free of iron, plastic and seals, is paid at the best rate. Mixed parts — a tap with a chromed head, a fitting mounted on steel pipe — are graded separately as they require dismantling before remelting. Red brass, richer in copper, is distinguished from yellow brass.

Our procedure

Alloy identification, separation of mixed parts, weighing on a certified scale in front of you, then immediate payment.
